Feel Like It’s Time to Find A Better Way to Give to the World; One in Which You are Not Always Last?

You excel in many areas of life but sometimes feel like you are alone or maybe there is something missing.

You feel like you need to be everything to everyone.

You are seeking to build leadership, confidence, or communication skills to be taken more seriously.

You are seeking balance and peace among the many hats you wear, but need help.

You love personal development and growth and know you’d like to be more focused.

You know you have more gifts to give to the world, but there are so many demands on your time.

You’d love to have someone behind the scenes supporting you and your development.

If any of this sounds familiar,
this is the right time for you to reach out.

 Transform and Excel

Self-Discovery and Awareness

Taking the time to really understand your skills, gifts, talents, communication, and leadership style helps you excel in work and in life.  You’ll begin to be more aware of how your self-talk has prevented you from shining your light.  You’ll figure out how to turn negative beliefs into beliefs that help you develop and grow. We’ll partner in building a way forward.

Focused Support Directed by You

This time is yours.  This means that we focus on what you feel is most needed for you to evolve, grow, and develop.  I will be your “behind-the-scenes” person who helps you grow in what is important to you.

Uncovering Underlying Patterns

Many of us have developed coping mechanisms from a very early age.  Those mechanisms have protected us and have served a purpose.  We’ll look at whether or not they still serve you, how to break free, and how to move forward to build your luminary life.

Creating Skills to be Your Own Expert Guide

By self-discovery, awareness, and exploring your underlying patterns, my goal is to help you build your own inner expert guide.  You may discover as we go through the process, that you start asking yourself the kinds of questions that will bring more clarity to decision-making, goal-creating, and living your life in accordance with your values.  It’s time to be free and it’s your time to shine!

Is this Familiar?

You are a go-getter.  You’ve given and given and given to others your entire life.  You love to serve, and you stand up for your beliefs, but are feeling like you can’t do this anymore.  You need to find a way to feel more freedom from stress.  You know you have what it takes to be a great leader, but something is holding you back.  You sometimes wonder how you got to where you are when feeling like you don’t know what you are doing.

I am afraid I am going to fail.

You feel like you don’t know what you are doing, but you’ve worked so hard to get here.  As you’ve grown, more and more responsibilities are part of your role.  There are days that you are so scared that all is going to implode.

I don't want to let anyone down.

People depend on you. You are serving because people need your leadership.  You care deeply about the people you serve and you lead by example, but you wonder how long you can keep up this pace.  You are afraid that someone is going to think you have no business in your leadership role and if they do, you’ll lose your job.

I don't have anyone to talk to.

As they say, it’s lonely at the top.  You feel like if you really share how you feel with your colleagues, employees, board, that they will freak out.  You need someone you can trust, someone behind the scenes.

I feel like my stress is going to kill me.

As a leader, you have felt burned-out, stressed-out, doubtful, unsure, overworked, misunderstood, afraid, indecisive, scattered.  The work you do is so vitally important in the world. You care so deeply for the people you serve, there is a lot to manage, and there’s a lot riding on your decision-making.  Sometimes you even have people angry with you for making the right decisions for the people you serve.  You may often feel out of breath, depleted, anxious.

If I don't figure this out I will lose myself in the midst of leading others.

Many days work feels like it’s taken over your life.  Time after time you have had to make the decision to stay late, do more, give more to your work and now you have lost a sense of what is really important.  Your family, your friends, your health, your soul are all giving you signs that something has to change.  You just want your life back.

My Approach

Hi – I’m Paula.  I am a Whole Person Certified Coach and am also certified through the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach.

In the space I hold for my clients they explore their innermost struggles and desires in life and work which allows them to reach even higher levels of leadership, self-compassion, and contentedness.

My clients tell me that my strength in coaching is my deep care and love for them, my calming personality, and my ability to pull from my own inner wisdom and professional experience to help manifest change, clarity, and growth.

The whole person approach – mind, body, spirit – combined with practical tools and assessments, allows my clients to create for themselves a fully-aligned life in accordance with their values.

I see myself as a resource for those seeking a deeper meaning in their leadership roles and am here to help my clients find their deepest purpose and to help them navigate difficult situations.

Leaders who give so much of themselves as they serve others while balancing the demands of life are my passion.  I teach them to become more effective communicators and decision-makers so that they feel confident and competent in their ability to lead with their heart in their own, unique way in work and in life.

I believe we evolve over time.  We often learn the hard way, but if we are open to lessons, they will teach us how to be better, to show up in the world with the gifts we were given, and to make the world a better place.   I believe the more we get to know ourselves, the better boundaries we set, the better we communicate, the better leaders we become.

More importantly, the better we take care of our hearts, minds, bodies, souls, relationships, the more impact we make on the world….and the world needs our gifts.  I am here to support you, to lift you up, and to help you step into your life as a heart-centered leader.

As an accomplished leader in my industry, I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a life and leadership coach.  I started to doubt my leadership abilities during a major work transition, but through my coaching sessions with Paula, I was able to discover my true sense of self again. She gave me a renewed sense of self confidence that has helped me not only at work, but also at home as a parent. Paula is truly compassionate and caring and  I cannot thank her enough for my renewed sense of self love that she helped me to discover through our sessions.

An Interview with Paula…

What has your education and career path been like?

I am a life-long learner and am happiest when I am learning something new.  Over the years, I have had traditional education at a Liberal Arts College and some not so traditional education through certifications and licensures in massage therapy, economic development finance, real estate, and Whole Person Coaching.  I’ve worked for Fortune 500 companies, and have held leadership roles in government, non-profit and have owned three businesses.  I said yes to opportunities that interested me, and now as a leadership coach, I can speak from many different professional experiences.

What inspired you to start your own business? Why do you do this work?

I love the freedom and flexibility of owning your own business, even though it’s one of the hardest jobs because you are responsible for it all.  Coaching is incredibly transformational.  It’s an honor and a privilege to work alongside someone who is investing in their future, believing that they can grow into the person they want to be.  It’s incredibly rewarding work to watch as someone discovers something about themselves that they may never have understood or when they have a new perspective on life or work.  Coaching is all about moving forward, it’s about empowering your client, and finding ways to help them get unstuck.

How would you describe your approach to coaching? What is Whole Person Certified Coaching? Why do you use Whole Person Coaching particularly?

Whole Person Coaching takes into account that we are complex beings with a multitude of interests, beliefs, thoughts, etc.  We look at a person’s complete life, not just work life, as we know many of us are affected by all the demands on us and solving an issue with something in one area, can help us to do better work in other areas of our lives.  Whole Person Coaching also takes into account the science of how the mind works, thoughts vs feelings, how our body responds to stressors, and how our heart can hold the key to our success – mind, body, soul, so to speak.

What does good leadership look like to you?

Good leadership is about service.  Someone smart once said, Leadership is not about being in charge, it’s about serving those in your charge.  Leadership is consistently making decisions for the good of the organization, the people involved, and the clients you serve. It’s about problem solving over and over and over.  It’s believing in and empowering those you lead, and sometimes doing this for yourself.  I know that leaders have a hard time taking care of themselves, but I work with leaders to help them see how important it is to care for themselves too, to set a good example so that those they lead will also take care of themselves.  We know that a healthier leader is better equipped to lead themselves and others.

What should a business owner or leader consider when they are looking to hire a coach? What questions should they be asking?

They need to ask themselves what they want out of a relationship with a coach.  Do they want the coach to focus on actual business or leadership concepts or do they want someone who will help them see their own blind spots, to help them understand what is holding them back from becoming more successful, to help them understand how their thoughts about their business, themselves, their clients, can affect how they feel, which has a ripple effect on their actions, thereby their results.
